Creative experiential learning

About the project

The Nuova Arcadia School of Culture and Language collaborates with the art group The Albero (non-formal group) on this project to develop and apply CEL, innovative teaching and learning methods in formal and non-formal education through the participation of theatre and the arts.

Creative Experiential Learning (CEL) is a model of practical experience education (Kolb), critical pedagogy (Freire), and theatre (Boal). Main activities in the seminar:

• Oppressed theatre as a new format for non-formal education
• Development of storytelling skills and the circle of narration
• Participation in photography and collage creation
• Theatre games in the learning process
• Intercultural approach to learning / teaching
• Critical pedagogy
• ICT blogging and digital art

VAS took part in the project activities and contributed to its dissemination.
